عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ الْبَخِيلُ الَّذِي مَنْ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَىَّ” ‏

Tirmidhi 3546

Ali bin Abi Talibؓ narrated that the Messenger of Allahﷺ said: “The stingy person is the one before whom I am mentioned, and he does not send Salat upon me.”

When we send salat upon Our Prophetﷺ, Allahﷻ sends salat upon us ten times. He forgives our sins and elevates our ranks. Jibril (AS) sends salat upon us. This is a way of Prophetﷺ making us aware of the loss in letting this prime opportunity go. Sending salat upon Prophetﷺ is one of the rare activities that has so many rewards packed into so few words.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ سَیِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

O Allah, send prayers and peace upon Our Master Muhammadﷺ and his Family
